2016 TRAINING CHANGES - BONDI LIONS & BRONTE BULLS

1. SEASON LENGTH
We are moving to a 12 week season. Longer season means we can have a fairer draw, and also save us and you time having to re-register. (Please find attached calendar, which outlines season dates for 2016.)

2. TRAINING - COACHING & TRAINING STRUCTURE
Our Bondi Lions and Bronte Bulls clubs are now too large and court space in the Eastern Suburbs to rare to continue with our current training model. As of Season 1 we will be offering group training sessions based on age group not by per team.

When registering just select which day you want to train and we will ensure you get in the right group.

Advantages of training grouped by age:
- Less courts used each night means we can use our more premium courts for training
- Full court access for the hour so drills that utilize the full court can be run as well as some full court games.
- If your child cannot make there chosen session one week, let us know and we can get you down to one of the other days so your child doesn't miss out on that weeks session.
- EBL will have better quality control over our coaches to keep them at a high standard. - With 4 Head coaches working and assistant coaches instead of up to 8 coaches across 4 different venues.
- You can now choose for your child to train multiple days. Each training session is $12 so there is an option for those wanting to get on the court more often.
Please note with this new structure, as with last season it's not guaranteed your child will have the same coach for training and matches but we are confident with this new structure we will have stronger coaches on board so your child's development will be better off.
- There is no changes to team sizes on game day and for the most part you will train with your team in the group sessions.

3. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MY TEAM THIS SEASON?
You will have players in your team who will be too old for one division. So there is two scenarios which will happen to your team this season.
a. Your team will play in the higher age group together.
or...
b. Those older kids will be moved into a new team. and we find replacements for them.
Critically...  We need everyone to register for the team, otherwise we don't know who is in or out.
Secondly we will then make a decision on whats best for the team and will email your team individually once we get a clearer picture who is in or out.

4. KEY DATES
- Registration is now open and cut off is 3rd Feb, 2016
- Training will start the week of Monday 8 February, 2016
- Draw will be out around COB Wednesday 10 Feb, 2016
- Round 1 will be that week also with Majority playing Saturday 13 Feb and Sunday / 14 Feb Respectively.
- If you are NOT returning this season let us know so we don't hassle you again.

5. REGISTRATION
Registration is now open. IMPORTANT - Please note when registering two preferences for training.
Your Child's spot is not guaranteed unless you have registered.
If you need an extension on payment, please make arrangements with us.
Registrations help us with understanding how many players we need for each team.
If we haven't heard from you by
3rd of Feb, we will need to start looking for other players for the team.

6. FEES

We have kept our pricing the same as 2015 although you will notice a jump in fees due to a longer season. (12 weeks instead of 9)
Match fees for all players equates to approx $16 per match
Training fees approx $12 per session &
Coach fees during matches approx $6 per game.

7. DIVISION VENUES & TIMES
Full Schedule of division times, days and venues attached.
Please note - these are just a guide at the moment and are subject to change depending on number of teams registered in each age group.

8. AGE REMINDER

Our competitions are that age group and under. Eg: for U10s - A player must be 10 or under for the remainder of 2016.
If they turn 11 at any stage of 2016 they would have to play in the U12s
Look forward to getting everyone back on the court : )
